While on the go, Buffalo's free WebAccess service allows you to create a personal cloud for easy remote access and file sharing with anyone, anywhere over the Internet. Sharing is as easy as sending a link to your friends and family; they can securely access only the files you've selected for them to see.

LinkStation Live is DLNA Certified™ and can be used as an iTunes® server to stream all of your favorite music, movies and shows to multiple playback devices simultaneously. Now you can relax and watch movies on your big screen TV while music is pumped in the bedroom. Centralize your media files for simple sharing and streaming.

The Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA™) brings together a number of device manufacturers, including Buffalo Technology, Microsoft, Intel, Nokia, Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba and Pioneer to actively support and promote interoperability guidelines or a universal standard for digital products. For the consumers, this means their PC, mobile or consumer electronic products can work seamlessly together, regardless of the manufacturer, making the vision of a digital home a reality.
Integrated Eye-Fi Manager allows users of Eye-Fi equipped cameras to automatically transfer digital photos from the camera wirelessly to any supported LinkStation Pro NAS device. Photos transferred from an Eye-Fi SD card to a supported LinkStation are transmitted through a web-based Eye-Fi service, and not directly over the LAN.
The LinkStation™ Live includes an ON/OFF Timer function that powers the drive only during programmed time periods. This prevents wastage of electricity when the user forgets to turn off the NAS. It reduces energy wastage when power is left on after office hours, on days off, or when the drive is not in use. You can program up to three timer settings.

Set up can be performed by both Win and Mac computers.
Easy access
Easily find and connect to your LinkStation using the NASNavigator tool. NASNavigator finds all NAS devices attached to your network, making it easier to manage multiple NAS devices.
Support time Machine
LinkStation supports Time Machine for Mac users, including Mac OS X Lion. Schedule backups from one or multiple Mac computers on your network.
